Wednesday December 31st 2014

Well, this is the last day of December and we had our little party tonight with the murder mystery thing.  Didn’t go to bad, it was kind of slow because we didn’t know when our turn was but it worked out OK.

P1030276

These are the characters from left to right, Joe (Monty), Don (Hurry), Cheryl  (Marie), Mary (Leonora), Linda (May), Mary (Luc) and me (Colum).

The dinner was very good, had lots of good stuff.   I made the crust for a couple of pizzas that Linda fixed, and I made some graham crackers with cream cheese frosting. Cheryl made pulled pork and we are supposed to get some of that tomorrow,,, yummy! Peggy made chicken and dumplings from scratch. Very good.  Everything was very good and Carlos brought some stuffed jalapeno peppers, also yummy!  Didn’t eat to much tonight, didn’t want to fall asleep during the play.

We had some snow on Christmas day!!

P1030261

Guess that is about all. I went to church at PVC last Sunday, will be the last for awhile.
We are still looking for a good church that suits us.  Pastor Rick is a very good preacher and will miss him but sure wont’ miss the music!

Guess that is about all for tonight.  Guess I will wait until next year to write another post for my blog!!  Happy New Year!!  Bye Y’all…

Wednesday December 17th 2014

Boy am I slipping on posting the blogs!  I just don’t do a lot on the computer.  I thought that Facebook wouldn’t be my cup of tea but I have been using it more than my blog.

We have been attending church at Promised Land. We like it, probably because it is a small church and very friendly.  I will have to take a picture of Pastor Helaman and Nelda Periera and post it.  Probably not the way to spell their last name though.  She does the preaching and is very good, has some great sermons, well, we’ve only been there twice now but two good sermons.

We have been utilizing our room more now.  I set up the table and we have been working on a puzzle.  Finished it last night…

P1030239

Cheryl and Linda posing…

P1030241

We had fun putting the puzzle together.  I think all puzzles are hard, some harder than others, this wasn’t to bad, they saved the last piece for me to put in.

We are going out this morning with Don and Cheryl to look at houses.  Cheryl wants to be in a place where there are things to do.  Seldom Rest Ranch isn’t it.  She loves birding, rock collecting etc.  Linda and I on the other hand don’t mind that there isn’t anything to do here.  We figure what little we do is plenty!!!

We made plans to take Kitty to the vet to get her fixed.  She has adopted us and I guess we are going to keep her.  No one else wants her.  She love Chloe and really likes to play and cuddle up to her..

P1030211

Chloe doesn’t like to be cuddled but puts up with her.  Chloe likes playing with her also but gets tired before she does.

Guess that is about all for this time so it’s time to say Bye Y’all…

Saturday December 6th 2014

The month is really going fast and I’m not writing in my blog like I should be.  Not sure why I don’t take the time, it sure doesn’t take long to post a blog!

Kitty is sticking around, she really likes Chloe!

P1030211

We don’t let her in the house a lot, she just loves to cuddle with Chloe and Chloe doesn’t really like to be cuddled, well, not by her.  They do play a lot but I like Kitty to be outside.

I am going to try a different church tomorrow.  Promise Land is the name of it.  I stopped by there last Sunday and will have to wait and see what it is like.  I like PVC but the music is just so loud it really hurts my ears and a lady said it was for a reason.  Some people like to sing but not to be heard.  I will accept that but sounds pretty stupid to me.  I’m not trying to impress people around me, I like singing to the Lord.

I did the coffee and donuts yesterday.  Wasn’t to bad, not many there but we still had a good time.

Linda isn’t feeling well, has had a touch of the flu I think.  Starting to feel better now though.

I pulled my back yesterday and I have been taking pain pills, ibuprophen, but is still hurting this morning.

P1030221

These are wild parakeets.  There are a lot of them down here and they are noisy. They are kind of a pretty green, not vibrant, but pretty.

Guess it is time to try to post this.. Bye Y’all…

Sunday November 23rd 2014

Went to church this morning at PVC.  Pastor Jarrell had the sermon this morning on the 23rd Psalm. He brings out things that I never even thought about.  He did a very good job this morning.

I baked some cinnamon rolls this morning and took a couple to Carolyn. I thought maybe they could sell some but after thinking about it I think they need stuff from a licensed kitchen and a licensed chef (baker).  I have neither.  When I got home I tried one and it really needs to go into the micro wave for a few seconds to get it tender again.  Other than that they weren’t to bad.

We got some rain last night, a lot of rain.  I waited until I got the dogs out and then it started and I think we may have gotten an inch or better.

I have to laugh, or chuckle, at Chloe and the kitten.  The kitten just loves Chloe and this morning Chloe even let her rub up against her!!  Chloe was busy smelling but none the less she let the kitten rub on him..

P1030187

I have been trying to help Rob with his computer.   I can’t even get mine to work to check his email.  If  I can get a computer to work for him I have one I will give him.  He says he really needs one in the summer.

Not a lot more going on, guess it is time to say Bye Y’all…

Monday November 17th 2014

We went to  church at McAllen 1st Baptist Church yesterday.

P1030159

This was a pretty good sized church and the preacher wasn’t to bad.  Pretty long sermon, but it was pretty good.  I don’t think we will go back.  Music, well, it was praise music and it was OK.  Not my type of music.

I went back to PVC and helped in the coffee shop.  We will keep on going to PVC, just have to wait until the music is finished before I go in.  My ears ring 24-7 and the volume of the music sure isn’t helping my ears, besides it is praise music and I can’t sing along with it.

Spent the rest of the day at home not doing much of anything.  It is nice and warm, probably around 80 but that is going to change.

Monday morning, it is windy and cold.  Well, it is in the low forties and that is pretty cold. The house has stayed warmer than I figured it would.  Was still in the sixties this morning. I took one of the small propane bottles out to get it filled.  That is the one for the water heater.  I’m sure there would be enough for a couple more days but I sure don’t want to take a chance of running out while I’m in the shower!!!

Don’t think we are going to do anything today.  Probably hibernate!  Got two day of really chilly weather then a warm up of sorts.  Supposed to get into the seventies on Thursday and stay that way for a few days.  I can handle that.

Time to say Bye Y’all…..

Friday November 14th 2014

Slipping again!   Been awhile since I posted on my blog.  Not a lot going on here, well, with the sale of the park we all kind of wonder what is going to happen.  The rent went up some what but not to bad.  They have fixed the heater for the hot tub, and I guess it cost about $3000 so that didn’t make them real happy.

I have been trying since we got down here to get the insurance on the camper and car.  Going through the agent in Sikeston took a long time.  I’m not sure but either he is busy or forgot about me.  I think I called at least a half dozen times.

Don and Cheryl made it here on Wednesday.  We had them and Joe and Mary over for home made pizza.  Had a good night.  Mary made a carrot cake that was really good.  I should have taken pictures but forgot.  Oh well.

Here is a picture of the new owners and the coffee they had for the informational meeting..

P1030140

Chuck and Becky.   They are from Ft Worth. Seem like very nice people.  I also think they have a lot of work to do to get this place profitable.  They are young though.

Jack and Mary will make it down next week. They are pulling there camper back here.  Pray they have a safe trip.

I have been going to Pulga, the flea market.  I enjoy just walking around, don’t see much but it is fun walking around looking at stuff.  I did find a pin for the tow dolly that I lost on the way down here.

Guess I will say Bye Y’all….

Sunday November 9th 2014

We have had a few days of rain and cool weather.  The cool weather really wasn’t to bad. We didn’t have to turn the furnace on but did put an extra blanket on the bed.

We got to meet the new owners on Friday, they hosted coffee and donuts and let us know the yearly rent was going up.  Got a picture of them…

P1030140

They seem to be nice and I think they want to make a go of the park.  They listen to requests but I am sure it will be awhile before things start getting done.  There is an awful lot of work and fixing that needs to be done.  A little at a time!

They came around to our place after the coffee to collect the rent from us which I was ready to pay.  I usually pay when we first get down here but since the place was sold I decided to wait.  Sure didn’t want to pay then the new owners say I still owed them.  Worked out good.  Now all I have to do is figure out where we will put our camper!  I am sure I will have to pay a storage fee for it.

The new owners names are Chuck and Becky.  Sounds like Becky is going to stay here and run the place and Chuck will be going back to Ft Worth to work.  Lots of new things will be happening this year I guess.

We have a kitten hanging around, I think the kitten really likes Chloe, she loves to rub up against Chloe, she doesn’t like it but Chloe loves to chase her…

P1030133

Not a real good picture but she really likes Chloe.

Going to church today, the noon service, so I will help in the coffee shop after the service. I am not good with making any of the jobs, I just volunteered to do cleanup afterward.  I am sure they would like me to learn to make the coffee drinks but I am definitely not interested in doing that.

Guess it is time to post this!  Well, one more thing about the camper.  I need to order two of the slide out motors for it and not sure which ones to order.  Trying to find out if Don thinks they can be made to fit.  I will probably order one just to see if it works.

Time to say Bye Y’all…

Tuesday November 4th 2014

Today is election day and we won’t be voting.  I requested absentee ballots and about a week ago I got the forms for the request for absentee ballots.  Kind of late I would say. I had stopped at the court house to get them but they weren’t ready.  Needed to fix some things on the ballot.  Guess that is a good way to get people not to vote.  This is New Madrid County though and I’m sure they don’t do things in an efficient manner.

Went to Corpus Christi  Saturday to take some things to Scott an Jeanette.  Had a good time with them and made it back home around 11PM  Later than I like to be out. We went to dinner with them at the Longhorn Steak House, had a good meal…

P1030115

Jeanette made some home made jelly.  We tried both of them and they were great.  One was strawberry-blackberry and the other was strawberry-watermelon.   Now I’m not a fan of water melon but I will have to say the strawberry-watermelon was a little better.  They were both delicious….

P1030130

Was great on toasted home made bread.

Went and gave blood yesterday, well, it was platelets.

P1030128

Takes about forty five minutes to give the platelets, about twice as long as giving blood.

I think I will go to Pulga today and look around again to see what I can see.  Haven’t bought very much but you never know what treasure I might find there.

Time to say Bye Y’all…

Tuesday, October 28, 2014

Tuesday October 28th 2014

Took Linda to the doctor yesterday and she got her arm checked and the doctor said that it looked OK to him.  Probable from a fall in the camper and it will probably take awhile to heal itself.  He gave her some Celebrex to take and a prescription.  Will see how that works out.

Went to Pulga last Friday and really didn’t find anything but I enjoyed it.  I think that I will go again today.

I found the access to the slide motor on the front slide and it is broken.   I will more than likely have to buy two new ones to replace them.  $600 apiece, not looking forward to that.

We have a kitten here, Marty named it Princess.  Very nice little tiger kitten.  Chloe wants to chase it but Princess won’t run, in fact Princess really wants to be friends, rub against Chloe and all that.  Chloe wants no part of it.  They do touch noses once in awhile though.

P1030079

She really does like Chloe.  I put out food and water for her.  Had to put out the water, she was on the car licking off the dew so I figure she must be thirsty.

Went to Church Sunday Oct 26th and the people working in Holy Grounds remembered me. Shocking!  I will go back to work after the third service next week Nov 2nd.  Time change next week.

We have had to run the air conditioner, not yesterday, it only got up to 87.  Not to bad in the house.  Today it is supposed to be 90 or higher, will probably have to turn it on.

Well, guess it is time to say Bye Y’all….

Tuesday, October 21, 2014

Tuesday October 21st 2014

We are getting really close to home, Mission.  We are in Kingsville TX now for the night.  Nice campground but expensive.  $36 a night but I wanted to stop.  I think we are within three hours of home but I sure don’t want to get there when it is dark or almost dark.  I want to have time to get things picked up in the house and put stuff away from the camper and I don’t want to do it in the dark.

We had a good time with Don and LaVon, well, we also had a good time with everyone we stopped to see on the way.  We would like to have stopped to see Daryl and Cindy but Houston is not a place I like to be so maybe next year on the way home.  The problem is the camper doesn’t get around well and the car is attached and I would just as soon not unhook it if at all possible.

I will put in a couple of pictures here…

P1030026

This is at Frost top.  We had Po Boys here and they were really good.  We would go back.  One of our meetings with Steve, Pam, Anna Grace, Rick and Connie.   Played a lot of Zilch.

P1030059

Out to lunch with Don and LaVon at the Shack.  Time for Linda and I to go on a diet.  We have gained a lot of weight.

We have had a good trip so far and the last should only take about three hours, give or take.  We are anxious to get home now, or at least I am.

Well, time to say Bye Y’all…..

Thursday October 16th 2014

Back on the blog again.  We are coming to the end of our visit here in Picayune!  Time sure does fly!  Tomorrow we are heading for Texas. Saturday we should be in Magnolia and by next Wednesday we should be in Mission, give or take a couple days.

We went out to eat at Frost Top, a little place that we have been to before but has been so long ago I can’t remember it.  We had Po Boy sandwiches. Very good…

P1030024

Rick, Connie, Steve, Pam, Anna Grace, Linda and I.  I think we were done eating here.  I would go back again.  We went over to Steve and Pam’s place after and played some Zilch. Good time.

P1030028

Didn’t get a good picture of everyone but this one turned out good.  We were about to have ice cream.  We have been eating way to much, going to have to slow down a little.

The price of gas has been going down, went down to $2.87 yesterday so maybe by tomorrow it will be even lower.

Well, at least I wrote a little here and will be able to look back and see where we were in October 2014.

Time to say Bye Y’all….

Saturday, October 11, 2014

Saturday October 11th 2014

Just got the security code for the Wi-Fi!  We arrived here in Picayune yesterday afternoon. Had a little problem, well, maybe a few problems.  We were listening to some cd’s and it started skipping, then we finally took that one out and put in another and it wouldn’t work at all.  Couldn’t get it out couldn’t shut it off, couldn’t do much of anything with it.   It was like the computer froze up and quit.  Well, after we got set up I pulled fuses until the radio finally shut off.

P1030015

I guess this is the name of the park.  There is no other name that I see.  This is our second time here.  There is another park across the street put it is about $80 a week more than here.  Just doesn’t have showers or restrooms.  That is OK we can do without.  There looks to be a total of eight site here.  Very small but plenty of room.

P1030016

Guess that was all of our problems except for getting ahold of the owner.  I have tried a half dozen times and no answer, just voice mail. Oh, the first site next to use has a little problem with the electricity so we moved next to it.  This one is OK.  Just reverse polarity so it probably would have worked but not going to chance it.

Guess it is time to say Bye Y’all….

Thursday, October 9, 2014

Thursday October 9th 2014

We went up to Gerald MO to spend a few days with Don, Cheryl, Joe and Mary.  Got to go to Fulton to see Gianna also.  Had a great time with Gianna and looks like she really enjoys the college there.  Got a picture of her…

P1020987

This is one of the big reasons she is at this college, horses!!  She love horses.

Got a few more pics…

P1020983

This was at Bek’s.  Very nice place to eat.  Notice we are wearing our coats???  It is cold!

This is where we parked for about five days…

P1020982

Went to Kline’s restaurant for breakfast, what a meal!!

P1020991

We all  got the same thing, loaded biscuits.  Way to much to eat!

Working on the chicken house….

P1030005

Mary needed something to do and the chicken house really needed painting. Removing the old paint was a pain.  We scraped this end and pressure washed the other end.  At least it had warmed up.

We got back to Sikeston on Wednesday the 8th and found that our other slide motor had broken, fell off, whatever.  Got to wait until we get to Texas to try to fix it.  Can’t even see this one.  Going to be a hard fix but will give me something else to do while down there.

Time to say Bye Y’all….

Thursday, October 2, 2014

Thursday October 2nd 2014

I have been keeping kind of busy here at the campground.  I am trying to get all the Roundup sprayed where it needs it and Mark asked me to mow the campground again before we leave.  Yesterday was a good day to do that.  Took about five hours to get it completely done.  It was pretty warm and I was tired after that so I had to take a nap. Rough but sometimes it is necessary.  Got a good picture last night of the sunset, not through the clouds but I think a farmer was burning his cornfield and it looked pretty neat.

P1020979

At church last night we studied chapter 14 of Proverbs.  Had a good night.  Last night at church.  Will he heading for Gerald on Friday for a few days and to go see Gianna at Fulton on Saturday.  We will be heading towards Texas after that by way of Mississippi.  Want to visit Linda’s relatives down there.  It has been a long time.

Been really busy today!  I sprayed a couple bottles of Roundup and then went and did the laundry.  Got gas in the car and it was $2.98. Hope it keeps going down.   Still hurts to fill up the camper.

When I got home I dumped our holding tanks and put the hose away, then put the car up on the new dolly, tied it down got the lights hooked up and took the dogs for a walk.  The Lord was really good to me.  When I walked in the door from walking the dogs it started raining. Got everything done just in the nick of time.  Thank you Lord!

Took Miss Lorene out to Lambert’s on Monday.  We won’t see her again for awhile and it was her birthday Friday, wanted to give her a treat.

P1020975

Had a good time with Miss Lorene.

I know that I missed a lot of stuff but I haven’t been keeping up with my blog like I should and I apologize for that, probably to myself because no one else reads it…..

Time to say Bye Y’all….

Tuesday September 23rd 2014

It has been awhile again, I just don’t get around to writing in my blog very often, I really should write more, makes a good diary.  I go so long before writing that I forget most of the things that we have done.

Well, I will start with last Sunday, had a good service, two people were baptized, Charly and Anna.  The service was very good.  Special music was very good.  Bryan had recorded a song that they  played, “I Can Only Imagine”.  That was his mother’s song that he sang at her funeral, very touching.  Coyita also sang a great song, “I Will Follow Him”.  They sang it in Sister Act.  Us older people remember it as a rock and roll song.  Rick Nelson sang it as “I Will Follow You” and Petula Clark sang it as “I Will Follow Him”.  It is a good song if you consider following Jesus as “Him”!  She did an excellent job on the song.  This is Coyita and Pastor Randy sitting behind her.

P1020956

We have been having some excellent weather.  Sounds like the next week will be very nice also!  We will enjoy the weather. We have about a week and a half left before we head up to see Gianna at William Woods College.

Guess it is about time to say Bye Y’all……

Wednesday, September 10, 2014

Wednesday September 9th 2014

We have had some really nice weather, excellent weather in fact, but the last couple of days have been pretty warm.  Today is supposed to be hot then tomorrow about twenty degrees cooler.  Sunday morning is supposed to be down right chilly! The lows are supposed to be in the 40s and for me that is down right chilly.  We still have almost a month before we head south, in fact we plan on heading north first to see Gianna at college.  May meet up with Joe and Mary at Don and Cheryl’s place.

Yesterday I made some jalapeno bread, turned out pretty good….

P1020926

Put quite a few jalapenos in it but it tastes good.

Had a beautiful sunset last night…

P1020930

I mowed Russell St yesterday morning.  It was really looking bad.  The little mower actually worked quite well.  I was done mowing before noon, I also sprayed a bottle of Roundup and then did a little weed eating and was done a little after 1PM.  The rest of the afternoon I relaxed.  I actually had a hard time staying awake. Getting old and a  lot of fresh air.

I am going to lead a study tonight on Chapter 12 of Proverbs.  I think it will be a good study, hopefully there will be a lot of discussion.

Linda had her breathing test the other day, Monday, and they will send the results to the doctor.  We have to wait until the 20th to see the doctor though.

Guess that is about all for now so I will say Bye Y’all…

Wednesday August 28th 2014

Well we made it to Litchfield, IL this afternoon.  Finally have good internet so I can post a blog.  Haven’t even written one so I missed a lot..

Went to Rockford last week to see my sister.  Can’t even remember what day it was!!

P1020899

My sister is sitting.  She had a cracked knee cap and is trying to get it to heal.  Sister Lois Anne is behind her.  Amazing to see them dressed casual, we are so used to seeing them in their habits.

P1020902

She is a couple years older than me even though she looks younger.  Kind of amazing that looking at me I look a lot like my dad!  We really had a good visit.  We were really glad we went up there to see them.

We got together with Ed and Joan from Darlington Wisconsin and Don and Cheryl from Gerald Missouri.  We met in Galena and we also had a really good time…

P1020890

This is where we stopped for lunch.  The Golden Hen.  Food was pretty good.

P1020891

You can tell Don is having a good time, I think he is waiting for ice cream…

This is Joe Spaulding, I worked with two of his brothers at the mill….

P1020906

Looks like Joe is waiting for ice cream also!!!

Going to try to post this now.  Lots I didn’t put in here but that’s the way it goes….By Y’all…

Monday, August 11, 2014

Saturday August 9th 2014

This makes it hard when I don’t have wifi to post my blog, well, we can’t do much of anything because we don’t have very good phone service either.

Don and Cheryl came and stayed a night and we had a pretty good time.  We drove them around and showed them some of the high lights.  Went to Angelo’s for lunch…

P1020832

We also got to Dixon, couldn’t see Ronald Reagans home but saw some other things…

P1020839

Dixon is my home town but I have never see this stuff before. Haven’t been here for awhile and when we are it is usually just passing through.

Went to see Don and Sheryl (different Don and Sheryl) and got to visit with them for awhile.

P1020830

We are shirt tail relatives.  She is my uncle’s wife’s cousin.  Not sure what that is but shirt tail!  Had a good visit.  Will go to see the old fire house museum here in Rock Falls today I think.  Should be interesting.

We will go to Frank and Maggie’s place this afternoon for a visit.  I know I definitely missed a lot but my brain doesn’t retain a lot.

Got another nice picture of a sunrise…

P1020843

This one I didn’t use the telephoto on, it was just a  great sunrise.  Sparky and I have been up for most of them and they are usually superb!

Got to go now…Bye y’all….

Monday, August 4, 2014

Saturday August 2nd 2014

Haven’t written in the blog for a couple of days.  We don’t have internet here and the phone service is almost nil!  Oh well, it is a very nice campground, I even have a picture of our camper!

P1020806

We got here on Monday and got set up.  Had a problem with our slide out in the bedroom.  The gear broke and I have to push it in and out by hand.  I slides very easy but it is still broken.

We went to see Marilyn and I know I got a picture of her somewhere… OK, I knew I took a picture of her but I used my phone and I’m not going to download them.

Our friend, Mary, from Kewanee was running a 5k race the other night and she had a stroke, or aneurism right after the beginning of the race.  We went to Peoria yesterday to see her.  They had to do a craniotomy (glad this has spell check!), right after we left.  Supposed to have taken about four or five hours but only took a couple.  She came out of surgery fine, pretty will fixed I guess, that is a “Praise the Lord” answer!

We are going to go to Franklin Grove this afternoon.  We will stop to see Marian and go to the doings that the city is putting on.

Glad we are taking a month here because there are a lot of things we want to do.

I know I missed a lot of things and I forget a lot of things waiting so many days between posts.  There is no internet here so this will be posted later.

P1020821

We have had some beautiful sunrises here.  Almost every morning I take pictures like this. The spots are a dirty lens I think.  I will have to clean it and see if it will make a difference.

Time to go now, the computer is anxious to make updates….Bye Y’all…..

Saturday, July 26, 2014

Saturday July 26th 2014

Thought that I would write a little in here now.  We have been really busy, drove from Gerald, MO to Carlinville, IL Friday, and went to see Ken and Ruth yesterday afternoon. We have been busy ever since.  Got wet getting the car off the dolly cause it was raining pretty hard.  When driving off the dolly I turned and scratched the fender of the car.  That was a bummer, could have been worse though.

We went to the Lincoln Museum today.  That was really interesting.

P1020780

Linda and I look like people trying to get into the picture, well, guess we were.

P1020791

His nose is shiny from people rubbing it!

P1020792

Lincoln’s tomb.

P1020794

Ken, Ruth, Linda and me after having an awesome pizza!

We are going to church with Ken and Ruth tomorrow and Monday we will be on our way again to Rock Falls.

Time to say Bye Y’all….

Tuesday, July 22, 2014

Wednesday July 22nd 2014

Well, we have been busy and not even sure what day this is but this is within a day or two.

We went camping with Pastor Randy, Coyita, Harold and Jewell.  Had a great time.  Randy didn’t have quite that much fun, even though he enjoyed it.  Started out with a blowout and he had to get three new tires.  Not sure what set it off but his back was really bothering him and he had to go home early on Saturday morning.  Got one good picture of us eating, of course….

P1020736

When we got back to Sikeston on Saturday, I set the camper up and went to help Mierlen. He opened up the office and I picked up trash and cleaned the bathrooms.  Guess he will be taking over Saturdays since we are leaving.  He said he did good, which is good.

We got ready and left for Gerald, MO Monday morning.  Had a pretty good trip, nothing went wrong anyway.  It was getting warm and the AC worked, and is working great.

I will have to get a picture of Don and Cheryl for the next edition of the blog.

It was hazy this morning and nice and cool.  Changed this afternoon for sure.  Got up into the middle 90s.  We sat outside for quite awhile even in this heat.  AC felt pretty good!

Well, I am going to try to post this see if I can get it done.

Bye Y’all…..

Tuesday July 8th 2014

It is raining this morning, not storming but raining.  Supposed to be warm and humid but supposed to turn nice later this week.

The air conditioner is working great!  I still have some problems with the remote.  I’m not good with remotes..

Looks pretty easy doesn’t it?  Oh, more buttons…

The remote has a clock!  Military time, but a clock, it could probably be programmed to be regular time but I don’t see any instructions on how to do it.

Yesterday it was around 92 and the AC did a fine job.  I am happy with it and will finally take the old one off the roof this week and put it in storage.

Went to church in Matthews Sunday to Pastor Stepp’s church.  Had a good time.  It is a small church but seems very friendly.  Pastor and I sang a special, “The Blood that Stained the Old Rugged Cross”.  Loyd and I have sung that song many times.  It is a very good song. We also did a lot of congregational singing.  Had a good night.  Glad we went.

Went to Ann’s funeral yesterday.  Pastor Randy had the service and did an excellent job.

Guess that is about all, have one last picture of a sunrise….

I don’t do anything to the pictures, just a telephoto picture.  It was a really beautiful sunrise!  Bye Y’all…
